UPDATE!!! New version for iTunes 8.0.1 can be found here: http://thepiratebay.ee/tor/4477215/iTunes_DRM_Remover_unDRM_Tool__EasyTunes_0.7_OS_X_App EasyTunes is a simple to use front end for the Requiem 1.7.3 iTunes DRM decryption software, which is a lossless DRM removing/converter tool. EasyTunes is a stand alone OS X app so you don't need to download Requiem. Note that Requiem is a FairUse tool which means that you can only remove DRM from files which you are authorized to play in iTunes and your personal information is not removed from the unDRM'ed files. (Windows user? Just use Requiem, link below) Changes in 0.6.1: Fixed some threading issues so Tiger/PPC should work now (hopefully) Changes in 0.6: PowerPC now supported. Decryption runs in separate thread. GUI responsive while decrypting. Decryption can be stopped/paused. Changes in 0.5.4: Brown paper bag release... Bug fixes. Changes in 0.5.3: Application now launches and responds to App Icon drag and drop operations. Instant decryption of files and folders dragged to App Icon. Application drag area is now an image. Reworked Application base class and init function (Fingers crossed for Tiger). Updated file viewer: - Folders and subfolders now expand automatically. - Decrypted items removed from top of list. Better error log when decrypting folders. Window can now resize. Bug fixes. Requiem can be found here: http://thepiratebay.ee/tor/4264046/Requiem_1.7.3_iTunes_DRM_Remover_(Older_Videos_Supported Enjoy :)
Wow, dacobi, you get many seeders despite it being a Mac-only app.
-It's taken me a while to get that many seeders for Requiem before more people found out about it. -
What's your secret? Are you well-known elsewhere, such as a blog?
Anyway, I haven't tried this version yet, but I will, if another update hasn't been released yet ;). Thanks for all your work trying to compile everything into a stand-alone app.
Cheers! :)

Thanks,
It kinda though work trying to compile an app for a CPU/OS that you don't have access to for testing.
Looking forward to hearing if Tiger/PowePC actually works now. If it doesn't I'm going to start breaking into random apartments until I find an old iMac I can run some tests on ;)
As for seeders, no secrets, maybe it gains more attention because it is a Mac Only app.

dacobi. You are a genius! Works perfectly now on Tiger/PPC 10.4.11.
Just dropped the files onto the Dock icon and hey presto DRM free tunes. Thanks!

@olfecker,
Which version of iTunes are you using?
"ERROR: couldn't find user"
Is a Requiem error, properly something regarding authorization and keys.
Are you running the app with the same user that's authorized to play the files in iTunes?
Regarding window resize, you can't make the window smaller (which may og may not be a bug/feature)
So depending on your screen resolution there could be some issues.

Doesn't work. Tried to unDRM some stuff I'd bought (audiobooks that were inexplicably saved in 2.5 hour increments--stupid!) and both EasyTunes and Requiem went through the whole directory and apologized for not being able to handle a single one of them.
@macthemikey,
EasyTunes is just a front end, so it will only work with files supported by Requiem.
About audio books, don't know whether they are supposed to be supported by Requiem, but music and video files are.

@dacobi,
I already responded to macthemikey on my thread because he asked about the same thing. I doubt he'll come back to find a response (being the commenters at the TPB don't seem to come back for a forum-like discussion), but regardless I would like to post this tip like I posted on my own thread because it is useful information on getting audiobooks decrypted losslessly using Requiem/Easy Tunes.
==============================
Requiem (EasyTunes) does not convert m4b files, it converts m4p files.
* However * if you change the extension from m4b to m4p, then you can run it with Requiem (EasyTunes).
After that, if you want the special features of the audiobook of bookmarking where you last listened, you could change the extension back to m4b. Once you change it, the icon will show it as a protected file (the lock would appear), iTunes will say it's a protected aac file in the summary under "Get Info," but it will NOT have DRM despite what it says because it will work without your computer being authorized.

Whoops! I have two aliases, so I responded under sk8rpro.
How do I process the download to get the app? Double-clicking on the download (iTunes_DRM_Remove_unDRM_Tool__EasyTunes_0.6.1_OS_X_App.4333736.TPB.torrent) gets a request to select an app for processing. Running OS 10.4.11 on an iBook.
@holdensme,
You need a bittorrent program such as Tomato Torrent
(http://sarwat.net/bittorrent/Tomato.dmg)
or
Azureus
(http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/azureus/Vuze_3.1.1.0_macosx.dmg?download)

The Tomato Torrent app turned the process into something more familiar. Needless to say I'm a newbie to things Torrent and thanks to you, my Mac and I are now on our way to a whole new world!
I read that iTunes 8 broke Requiem, and if EasyTunes is a front end for Requiem, does this mean that iTunes 8 also broke EasyTunes 0.6.1? If so, I'll just have to wait for an update.
I get "ERROR: couldn't find vers" on a PPC OS 10.4.11. This was my first attempt at using EasyTunes, so I have no prior experience of success or failure to refer to.

@johann6,
Correct, if Requiem is broken EasyTunes is broken.
